Carl Vitale is the Vice President of Field Operations at Sam Schwartz Pedestrian Traffic Management (PTM) Services, Inc. Mr. Vitale was instrumental in the development of the PTM program in 2009 and oversees 200 Pedestrian Traffic Managers daily. He is the director of pedestrian/traffic operations for Barclays Center, Red Bulls Arena and the Second Avenue Subway Construction route. Mr. Vitale authored the groundbreaking training manual for PTMs, which has since been used by the New York City Department of Transportation to train DOT personnel. Mr. Vitale is a veteran of the New York City Police Department and retired with 21 years of experience with the title of Sergeant.
Matt CourtenayVice President, Business Operations of Sam Schwartz PTM Services, Inc.
Matt Courtenay is the Vice President of Business Operations with Sam Schwartz Pedestrian Traffic Management (PTM) Services, Inc.. Mr. Courtenay began at Sam Schwartz in 2010 as an intern, over the past six years his experience has grown to understand and modify the business aspects of the company. Mr. Courtenay reports directly to the General Manager, and is involved in all Executive related matters. He manages the Pedestrian Traffic Management budget, works with project managers to ensure financial and service efficiency, and is in direct contact to top clients such as Amazon Fulfillment, Barclays Center, Turner Construction, Goldman Sachs, New York Cosmos, and New York Red Bulls. He played a vital role in the project coordination for Super Bowl 48 and the 2015 New York Marathon.
Mr. Courtenay received his Bachelor’s Degree at the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University and was a four year Division I Athlete on the Fordham Men’s Varsity Soccer Team. Mr. Courtenay is currently pursuing his MBA from American University's Kogod School of Business.
John AntokasSr. Project Manager of Sam Schwartz PTM Services, Inc.
John Antokas is the Senior Project Manager with Sam Schwartz Pedestrian Traffic Management (PTM) Services, Inc. John began working at Sam Schwartz in 2015. He manages the hiring, operations, and other various everyday items as well as the traffic planning to ensure the safety and flow of pedestrians and vehicles throughout the New York metropolitan area. He specializes in traffic planning for big box facilities such as Amazon across the nation coordinating with the companies and cities for smooth flow of traffic and maximum efficiency.
Mr. Antokas received his Bachelor’s Degree from the Kogod School of Business at American University and is currently a Master’s Candidate for Urban Planning and Policy at Hunter College in New York City.
In his free time, John likes to play sports, fish, and hang with his dog, Clyde.
Steve McLaughlinDeputy Director of Field Operations of Sam Schwartz PTM Services, Inc.
Steve McLaughlin is the Deputy Director of Field Operations at Sam Schwartz Pedestrian Traffic Management (PTM) Services, Inc. He coordinates the deployment of over 200 Pedestrian Managers on a daily basis. Mr. McLaughlin is responsible for the scheduling, outfitting and supervision of the overall field staff. Along with Mr. Vitale, Mr. McLaughlin was with the program on Day 1.
Mr. McLaughlin is a retired Police Officer from the NYPD where he served for 20 years. He currently lives in Long Island with his family and is an accomplished musician in his spare time.
